Another reason why I think I need to be single. Because I live to the beat of my own drum and I don't want to join a band. I like my beat, my time, my way and now I have to decide which is more important to me, that or having someone to share my life with. I know I can share my life with someone and still have that to some degree, but I just hate having any discussion about changing the way I want to do things. The biggest problem is how I wait until the last minute to something the majority of the time. When someone disagrees with my decisions I just want to disengage. I don't want to compromise, I just want to do it my way, which is not fair to someone else, I know.

You don't need to apolgise for how you feel, or justify it either. Just live how you want and need to for now. You may find yourself in a different place down the road. Everyone goes through phases in their lives. Hopefully talking with BF will help him to understand too.

I've had that discussion with myself numerous times. I've been alone for 13 years and it's become a lifestyle.
I'm torn between the lonliness of independence and the delight of it.
I'm not sure I'd be happier either way.
